Learn to make your own itinerary with Paul Bonhomme

Required level: have already done ski touring, comfortable on black slopes.

Equipment needed: everything needed for ski touring, DVA/Shovel/Probe, skis, skins, knives.

This event brings together ski enthusiasts for a learning (or revision!) and fun time in the mountains.

Day 1 : “ In search of the fragile layer ” Meet at the Gite at 9 a.m., departure for the first hike.

Theme of the hike : research and identify what a fragile layer is.

Guide contributions : after identifying a fragile layer, we will play “games” to understand how it works. End of the day around 4 p.m. at the Gite. Debriefing.

Day 2 : “ Making your mark ” Departure from the Gite at 9 a.m. for the second hike

Hiking theme : having seen how an avalanche is triggered the day before, we will see together the best terrain and the best track to take based on several simple parameters.

End of the day around 4 p.m. at the Gite: Debriefing

Day 3 : “ It’s your turn ” 8:30 Briefing of the day, joint decision of the location and the trail estimated to be the best based on the contents of D1 and D2. 9:30, departure for the hike. Alternately, participants who wish to do so will make the trail in front of the group. We will thus be able to discuss the choices and the different decisions taken.

End of the day around 3:30 p.m. at the Gite, Debriefing
